This is where the PERC Machine comes in. Alpha has added a PERC machine to the fleet; we are now able to handle more difficult gopher and vole treatments with higher success rates.
Pressurized Exhaust Rodent Control (PERC) is considered the most efficient and effective system to treat rodents such as gophers, voles, and other destructive burrowing rodents.
The PERC system uses an internal combustion engine that generates and pressurizes carbon monoxide up to 110 PSI. Using multiple probes, technicians are able to easily detect tunnel systems and quickly fill them with a lethal concentration of carbon monoxide. It works quickly, rodents don’t have much time to react. The PERC machine offers an environmentally friendly treatment and does not require the use of poisonous baits or explosions. There is no need to worry about secondary poisoning to other animals like pets since there is no residual poison.
